Lady Eliza Spencer Launches Lala V Rosé At Hackstons

-

Lady Eliza Spencer has marked the UK launch of Lala V Rosé with a summer party at Hackstons’ Knightsbridge flagship, as the Côtes de Provence wine becomes available exclusively through the drinks retailer in the UK.

The event brought guests to the Knightsbridge store for an evening centred on the wine, its Provençal origins and the personal story behind the brand. During the evening, Lady Eliza discussed the development of Lala V and the shared vision behind the business with her fiancé, Channing Millerd.

Reflecting on the launch, Lady Eliza said: “The launch at Hackstons was incredibly special. London is home for us, so celebrating Lala V in Knightsbridge and seeing it stocked at Hackstons feels like a real milestone. It’s one of those moments where everything suddenly feels very real.”

A Shared Idea Behind The Brand

Created by Lady Eliza and Channing, Lala V grew from their shared interest in rosé, travel, food and bringing people together. Lady Eliza said: “Lala V really came from a shared dream between my fiancé Channing and me. We both love rosé, but also everything that surrounds it – travelling, beautiful food, long lunches in the sunshine and bringing the people you love together. We wanted to create something elegant and special, but still fun and never too serious.”

That thinking extends beyond the wine itself to the wider identity surrounding the brand. She added: “For us, it was about creating a rosé that is genuinely delicious, but also has a whole feeling and world around it. It’s elegant and beautifully made, but approachable and fun at the same time. We want Lala V to be associated with beautiful moments and bringing people together.”

The Lala V name also carries a personal connection to Lady Eliza’s family. She explained: “It’s incredibly personal. My brother Samuel couldn’t pronounce Eliza when we were little, so he called me “Lala”, and it became a family nickname that has stayed with me ever since. The “V” is for Victoria, my middle name and also my mother’s name, but it also represents vie, meaning “life” in French, which feels so fitting for everything Lala V is about – enjoying life and celebrating beautiful moments.”

Provençal Origins And A Knightsbridge Launch

Provence was selected as the home of the wine, with the region’s winemaking heritage central to the couple’s plans for Lala V.

The UK launch places the rosé exclusively with Hackstons, the Knightsbridge drinks retailer specialising in whisky, wine and spirits.

Lady Eliza said the relationship was based on a shared emphasis on product and service: “Hackstons has such an incredible reputation for quality, expertise and exceptional customer experience, so it felt like a very natural fit for Lala V. They really understood our vision from the beginning and share our appreciation for quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. We are incredibly proud and excited to be launching with them.”

Hackstons founder Alphie Valentine said: “Lady Eliza has created a truly exceptional rosé that perfectly reflects the elegance and quality both our brands represent. We’re delighted to exclusively launch Lala V at Hackstons with a summer party befitting the occasion, and look forward to introducing our customers to a wine that celebrates the very best of Provence, craftsmanship and modern luxury.”

Lala V Rosé is pale pink with salmon-hued reflections, with aromas of ripe peach and subtle citrus notes. Its profile is described as smooth, fresh and balanced, with a soft finish.

Building A Brand Around Experiences

For Lady Eliza, the positioning of Lala V is closely tied to the occasions and experiences associated with drinking it. “For me, luxury is much more about experiences than things. It’s time with the people you love, beautiful food and wine, travelling somewhere special and creating memories together. Those are the moments I value most.”

Asked who she imagines enjoying the wine, she said: “I don’t think there is one specific person. It’s for anyone who appreciates a beautiful rosé and enjoys celebrating life – whether that’s a long lunch with friends, a summer holiday or simply a glass at home at the end of the day.”

Her own preferred setting reflects the same relaxed approach. “I like a glass of LaLa V ice cold, ideally somewhere in the sunshine with Channing, family or friends and something delicious to eat. That’s pretty much my perfect afternoon.”

Travel has also helped shape the wider identity around the brand. Lady Eliza said: “Travel is a huge source of inspiration for me. I love discovering beautiful places, restaurants and hotels and experiencing different cultures. Some of my happiest memories are from travelling with the people I love, and that feeling has definitely influenced Lala V.”

From Brand Partnerships To Building A Business

The launch marks a new phase for Lady Eliza after years of working with established fashion and luxury brands. She said: “It feels very different because Lala V is ours and it’s incredibly personal. I’ve loved working with so many wonderful brands over the years, but creating something from the ground up and seeing our own vision come to life has been incredibly rewarding. I’m learning all the time and absolutely loving it.”

Channing has also played a central role in developing the brand’s visual direction. “I genuinely couldn’t have done it without Channing. We created Lala V together and our strengths really complement each other. Channing has an incredible creative eye and designed everything from the bottle and logo to the website and visual identity. He’s also very good at keeping me calm when I start worrying about every little detail!”

The couple have already chosen another personal occasion for the wine, with Lala V set to feature at their forthcoming wedding. Lady Eliza said: “We absolutely cannot wait to have Lala V at our wedding and share it with all of our closest family and friends. It’s such a special part of our story together, so having it there to celebrate with everyone we love will mean so much to us.”

Looking Beyond The UK Launch

Following the Knightsbridge launch, Lady Eliza and Channing are now considering the next stage of the business.

Lady Eliza added: “I want people to feel Happy when they drink LaLa V! I’d love it to transport you somewhere beautiful, even just for a moment. Lala V is about enjoying life, slowing down and sharing those special moments with the people you love.”

Lala V Côtes de Provence Rosé is priced at £27 and is available now through Hackstons’ Knightsbridge store and online.
